About me (the designer: Mitra Nite)
I am a visual designer, multimedia artist and photographer, with a focus on graphic design and brand development.
My work combines illustration, photography and typography with a minimalistic outlook and geometric forms at the core. Drawing elements from the naturally occurring and human-made (hence the name Concrete Papaya), I enjoy experimenting with combining abstract and actual to create unexpected juxtapositions.
My background is in fine arts, graphic design and classical music. Originally from Persia, I paused in Scotland for grad school, and now live in the wondrous Pacific Northwest. When I am not designing, I am spending time in nature, taking care of our house-plants, whisking a bowl of matcha, hiking, getting inspired by art-centric books and blogs, and finding the next show to binge-watch.
